St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Deputy Jason Maletto located Suspect Joseph Leroy Herbert age 49 of Mechanicsville and served him with an Arrest Warrant for First Degree Assault. Suspect Herbert was located at the St. Mary's County Detention Center, was arrested and charged with Assault First Degree and Second Degree Assault as the result of an incident that occurred on 10-22-04 in Leonardtown. Suspect Herbert is currently awaiting a court date in the District Court.
