Two School Buses Collide in Morganza


On 10/06/2006 at 1314 hours, St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Units responded to a Motor vehicle Accident involving two school buses from the Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School, Washington, D.C. The investigation revealed that both school buses were northbound on Maryland Rt. 5 at the intersection of Maryland Rt. 242 in Morganza, Maryland. The first bus stopped in the roadway for a turning vehicle. The second bus failed to stop and struck the rear of the first bus.

Several students were transported to St. Mary's Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
