St. Mary's Police Arrest Man for Burglary, Drugs


LEONARDTOWN, Md. - On Tuesday, December 5, 2006, Detectives from the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) served an arrest warrant on John Wesley Sprenger, 20 years of age, of California, Maryland. He was charged with burglary, theft over $500.00, and possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS).

According to police, Sprenger was arrested in Mechanicsville, Maryland without incident. He was incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention center pending a bond review.

The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. The unit was established on July 1, 2003 and is based in Leonardtown, Maryland.
