Calvert County Sheriff's Reports


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Dec. 15, 2008) - The Calvert County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BURGLARY: DFC Pete Aurich investigated a burglary to a home on Yardley Drive in Prince Frederick that happened on December 11 between 10:00 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. A Lexmark copy and fax machine, an Audiovox radio, and numerous DVD movies were taken.

THEFT: DFC Moises Velasquez responded to a home on Patuxent Ave in Solomons on December 13 at 8:20 a.m. The homeowner advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken into his two unlocked vehicles sometime overnight. While there, DFC Velasquez was approached by 5 nearby neighbors, all reporting their vehicles had been entered, ransacked, damaged and/or had items stolen from within. In total, a Nuvi Garmin GPS worth $300, a TomTom navigation system valued at $500 and damage in the amount of $1000 was reported. Only one of the nine vehicles that were entered had been locked.

THEFT: Dep. Jason Dean investigated a theft call at the Payless Shoe Store in the Prince Frederick Shopping Center on December 13 at 2:07 p.m. He subsequently arrested Lekesha Roxanne Mason, 29, of Prince Frederick, and charged her with theft after it was learned that Mason had taken a pair of boots without paying for them.

THEFT: DFC Todd Smith arrested Alfred James Francis, Jr., 19 of North Beach, on December 13 at 7:44 a.m. and charged him with theft after Francis was observed taking more than $1800 in property without paying from the Dunkirk Walmart.

BURGLARY: On December 14 DFC Mark Robshaw investigated a burglary to the Barstow Acres Children Center, located at 590 Main Street in Prince Frederick. The burglary occurred between December 12 and 14. More than $4000 in property was taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lt. Steven R. Jones at 410-535-1600, ext. 2462.
