Maryland Crime Victims' Resource Center, Inc.
(Formerly the Stephanie Roper Committee) Our mission is to insure that victims of violent crime in Maryland receive justice and that these victims are treated with dignity and compassion through comprehensive victims' rights and services. In April of 1982, Stephanie Roper was kidnapped, brutally raped, tortured and murdered. Following their experience with the criminal justice system, Roberta and Vince Roper founded the Stephanie Roper Foundation and the Stephanie Roper Commitee to improve the criminal justice system and its treatment of crime victims and survivors. The Stephanie Roper Foundation and Committee recently combined, becoming the Maryland Crime Victim Resource Center. The Maryland Crime Victims' Resource Center is a non-profit 501(C)(3)volunteer organization that serves Maryland Crime Victims. |
