St. Andrew's Parish was created by the Maryland Provincial Assembly in 1744. In 1766 the vestry decided to build a church which was completed in 1776. The church stands today essentially unchanged.
St. Andrew's is a very active Episcopal community with around 110 families. Children are welcome at all services or they may stay in the nursery with our free child care providers. Services are at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sundays, with Sunday School beginning at 9:15 a.m. Please call the church or stop by and visit the parish office Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Beverly Weatherly, Rector.
The interior contains two balconies and the original box pews. A hand-lettered altar piece, or reredos, was painted in 1771. It display the Lord's Prayer, the Ten Commandments and Creed.
