Calvert Hospice
Calvert Hospice provides compassionate care and comfort to enable dying patients to live their last days in peace and comfort, with dignity and respect. Hospice neither shortens nor extends life, but aims to enhance the quality of life to the end. We do this through a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to meeting the needs of the patient and family. The Hospice team includes a registered nurse, a trained and licensed social worker, a member of the clergy, a certified home health aide, and, of course, community volunteers. More Details: Calvert Hospice also provide bereavement support to anyone in Calvert County who has lost a loved one. Our Bereavement Outreach Network (BON) support groups for adults, BRIDGES program for children and families, and Camp Phoenix, a 3-day summer day camp for grieving children, along with public education and information, are all available to residents of the County without charge and without regard to whether they have had prior experience with Hospice. |
