Solomons United Methodist Church
Born in the 19th Century, Living in the 21st Century. The congregation formed in 1865 and the church was constructed in 1870. This typical 19th Century tidewater-style church, the oldest on Solomons Island, features a bell tower, antique stained lead-glass memorial windows, hand-made altar rail and a pulpit which was constructed from the paneling of an old 18th Century sailing schooner. Sunday Worship and Children's Church - 9:15 AM. Annual Christmas Eve Candle Light Service. |
