Kiwanis Club of Calvert County
The Kiwanis Club of Calvert County was chartered for the purpose of serving the local community and the worldwide community as well. Though most of our efforts are focused on programs in Calvert County, we believe, as citizens of a more global community we share an obligation of service across the planet. Following our International motto of "Serving the Children of the World," our local club begins that mission in Southern Maryland by sponsoring youth programs at local schools. Our vision is to inspire in our youth a greater appreciation for higher ethics and an appreciation for the importance of community service; for "giving something back." Kiwanians enjoy the bonds of social camaraderie and networking through our worldwide affiliation, but perhaps nowhere more enjoyably than when shoulder-to-shoulder in a local service or fund raising project. |
