Ruth Gooding Childs, formerly of Chesapeake Beach, passed away on December 24, 2003 at 7:35pm.

She is survived by her brother, Bernie Cohen of Florida, several nieces and nephews; son, Leroy "Butch" Gooding, grandaughter, Tracy Moreland, and great-grandson, John A. Huntzberry.

She was a wonderful woman who loved her family unconditionally...she was my salvation.

Viewing services are being held at Evans Funeral Home in Bowie, Maryland on Monday, December 29, 2003 from 11am to 1pm. Burial will follow immediately follow at Cedar Hill Cemetary in Suitland. Donations to the Hospice of Greater Washington are being accepted in lieu of flowers.
