Beverly Melville Godwin passed away December 11,2003 at St. Mary's Nursing Center. She was born October 14, 1915 in Virginia. She was a resident(along with our father--George Ennals Godwin)since 1943 of Leonardtown, Maryland. She was a Organist at Lexington Park Methodist Church for over 20 years & she could play a MEAN Boogie Woogie on the Piano(along with other music). She also---Helped our Father George E. Godwin help build their business at the bottom of hill--known as St. Mary's Ice & Fuel,Inc.--It is now known as the Leonaardtown Wharf Project. She is survived by her 4 children---Georgia Hicks----Penny Newton---Linda Gill & Reggie Godwin. She also has 8 grandchildren & 4 greatgrandchildren with the 5th on the way. She was a VERY STRONG & STUBBORN--But-VERY SMART & TALENTED LADY----Until her illness took over 12 years ago!! She will be greatly missed by us. Well, at least she is finally able to be her old self again & be with Daddy(passed 11/08/01)up in the heavens. They are finally at peace now. We will love them forever. I only hope that the rest of us (my sisters & brother) can carry on there legacy together. You are missed--more then you'll ever know!!! Your Middle Daughter----Penny
