Granddaddy, I love you so much, words will never be able to describe what I am feeling right now. I am trying to stay strong for Momma and all of the kids, but the pain I feel is unbearable, Dennis is really having a hard time dealing with your death, but together we will manage to go on, especially since we know that is what you would want us to do. Even though you have suffered for a long while, I had become accustom to you bouncing back, coming home from the hospital making me some of your famous "Chicken Soup". Losing Granddaddy Baker at such an early age, made our relationship that much more special, especially since you always called me "Retee Girl", when Aunt Retee moved away. As mom stated in her poem you were not a “Man of Great Fan Fare”, so I did not need my name in any obituary to validate the bond that you and I share. You taught us to do things from the heart, you would be proud of us now. I will never forget you, looking forward to seeing you in paradise; you have now become my inspiration to make it there.
