DEMARIO RAQUON BRYANT 5-11-95

Posted By: DEIDRE BRYANT
Date: Wednesday, 12 May 2004, at 8:54 a.m.

Its not very often that one comes across a person who can make them smile with simple actions, and can makes you appreciate life in ways you never thought possible.

Its not very often that you come across a beautiful being who constantly amazes you with his faith, and displays more strength and courage than you ever could.

Its not very often that the Lord allows you to meet someone sent to show you that bravery and perseverance can get you through anything.

And its not very often that this someone makes more of an impact on your life in two years than any other person can make on you in a lifetime.

Demario was introduced to the world on May 11th, 1995 and it seemed to everyone that he had been here before. I only had the opportunity to spend a short amount of time with him, but I knew that there was something very special about him. I had never seen someone so excited about church, or so ahead of their time. I remember looking at him amazed time and time again, asking myself if this little boy was really just two years old. When I heard that he was sick, I found myself calling upon my own faith to make me understand why something like this would happen to someone so extraordinary. I realized that certain people are brought to us for certain things, and once that job is done, they no longer need to be here in the physical. They only need to be with us in spirit. Everyone who had the opportunity to meet Demario got a lesson in life that they could never fully understand until he was no longer with us. He made me realize that life is precious and faith can get you through anything. In times when I cannot understand why things happen, its those memories of Demario and his bravery that get me through. The two short years that Demario was here he managed to teach everyone that when you touch people the way he did, your spirit will live through everyone for all of eternity.

We will never forget you!
