To all of Darlene’s family and close friends I want to send my deepest sympathies. No one will ever understand why senseless acts like these occur and why a beautiful life such as Darlene’s is cut so short. Somehow we still have to find the strength to believe that God has his reason for needing another beautiful Angel with him. Yet, we all know that is so much easier said than done.
If it gives anyone any comfort as it did for me… I wanted to share an experience that I had on Saturday the day of Darlene’s burial. I noticed a beautiful rainbow in the sky around 7:00pm. Maybe you noticed it too. After all of the cloudy sky’s we had had that day and all of the on-again, off-again rain… the sun broke. The tops of the trees lit up and the air became so clear. The sky lit up with this absolutely beautiful rainbow! It was completely full and you could see from one end to the other. All I could think of was Darlene’s beautiful smile. I could feel her peace surround me. Somehow it made me feel a little better and it made me feel as though she was with all of us who were missing her at that moment. I felt as though it was her way of saying she loved us and that she was looking down on all of us… especially her children, family and closest friends.
Darlene you will be truly missed! Your presence in our lives... made our lives that much better and for the time we had with you we are forever greatful.
To God we pray that through our pain, our tears, and our anger you please help us all to find peace.
I pray for everyone affected to find peace with the rainbow that shines after the rain.
Love a Sympathetic Friend
