Joseph Allan Mudd, 83, of Waldorf, MD passed away on Friday April 29, 2016 at Charles Regional Medical Center. Born October 28, 1932 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late Joseph Burch Mudd and Helen Louise Simpson Mudd.

Allan was a lifetime resident of Charles County. He worked side by side with his father farming. He loved the Dr. Samuel Mudd farm, formerly known as St. Catherine. He enjoyed the amenities the farm offered; hunting, trapping, and watching the crops grow. He also reminisced later in life about the happiness of growing up on the farm with his large family. Allan also enjoyed crabbing and making trips to the casino. He especially enjoyed sharing stories about his military time and other life experiences with his grandchildren.

Allan is predeceased by his parents and sister, Nancy Hayden (Alan, (deceased)). He is survived by his wife Barbara Wise Mudd; son Joseph Allan Mudd, Jr. (Jackie), sisters Ann Wills (Blackie, deceased), Betty Keller (Ernest); brothers Samuel Mudd (Wanda) and David Mudd (Lois); granddaughters Brandi Lynn Mudd and Sarah Jane Mudd; great grandson Mason Allan Griffith and a host of niece and nephews.

Viewing will held Wednesday, 4 May from 2-4 and 6-8 with prayer service at 7pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall.
