Barbara Jean Angle, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at her home in the Asbury Retirement Community Solomons, MD. Born in Wilkes Barre PA on January 13, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Walter Masgay and Frances Kertulis.

Barbara was a kind, generous, caring, loving and spiritual woman. She enjoyed reading, painting ceramics, playing pitch, but most of all Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Barbara was an employee of the federal government retiring after nearly 40 years of service, working at the Patuxent River Naval Air Base.

Barbara is survived by her son, Joe and his wife Rose and her daughter Barbara Shaw and her husband Mark, and two cherished grandchildren Jimmy Angle and Kory Shaw. She was predeceased by her husband Francis Harrington Angle, their daughter Karen and two brothers, Walter and Louis Masgay. Barbara was a fan favorite, often seen on the sidelines cheering Jimmy on at sporting events or in the front row being is proudest supporter at school events.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM with prayers recited at 7:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM in St. Michael's Catholic Church Ridge, MD with Father Peter Giovanoni officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: James Angle, Chad Breen, Jimmy Copper, Mike Coon, Keith Raley and Mark Shaw. Memorial contributions can be made to The Humane Society of Calvert County, P.O. Box 3505 Prince Frederick, MD 20678. Arrangements by Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home.
