Mrs. Puzzilla was married to her beloved husband Anthony on June 21, 1969 at the St. Bernadine's Catholic Church in Suitland, MD. She was a Supervisory Statistician with the United States Census Bureau's Foreign Trade Division in Suitland, MD for 36 years and was awarded numerous Certificates of Merit for her dedicated and exemplary service to the government. She retired on July 2, 2004.

Kathy raised and bred Persian and Himalayan cats for many years and won numerous awards and plaques at cat shows sponsored by the American cat Fancier's Association. She was an avid collector of dolls, especially Madame Alexander. A highlight of her life was finally visiting the Madame Alexander showroom in New York City a number of years ago. She made several porcelain and composition dolls herself which are now displayed throughout her home in La Plata. Kathy was Vice President of the Black Eyed Susan Doll Club. She also loved to travel, taking numerous trips to Atlantic City, NJ.

She and her husband traveled to Europe in 1998, traveling on the Orient Express to Rome, Florence, Venice, Prague and Paris. She also had a wonderful time taking a cruise to Bermuda about two years ago. She will be lovingly remembered for her good natured attitude towards work, life and her family.

She was daughter of the late James Able Pate and the late Louise Victoria Johnson Pate.

She was predeceased by her parents; and one sister, Robley.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Anthony G. Puzzilla; one daughter, Christine Puzzilla (Jason) White of Portage, IN; one son, Jeremy Puzzilla of La Plata, MD; her stepmother, Auzie Pate of Como, TX; and one granddaughter, Marie Sara White of Portage, IN.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 from 5-8pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646 A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Clergy will be the Rev. Mark Roberson. Interment will be private.
