Barbara Ann Hornbeak, 75, of Clinton, MD passed away February 28, 2013 at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center, Clinton, MD. Born November 11, 1937 in Fredericksburg, VA, she was the daughter of Hunter Rose and Alberta Shelton Rose.

Barbara was an avid reader, especially of the Bible. She was the center of her family and loved them dearly, enjoying everything that they did, especially decorating at Christmas. She also loved to shop.

Predeceased by her parents and siblings, Henry T. Rose, Jerry L. Rose and Jean Rose, she is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Carl D. Hornbeak; children, Todd Eric Hornbeak of Waldorf, MD and William Bradley Hornbeak (Margaret) of Mechanicsville, MD; brothers, Robert Rose (Beatrice) and Ellis T. Rose (Pat); sister, Joyce Darnell Nave and Sister-in-law, Madeline Rose; grandchildren, Carla Hornbeak DiMichele, Brandon Carl Hornbeak, Stephanie Ann Hornbeak and Brittany Faye Hornbeak.

The family will receive friends for Barbara's Life Celebration on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 3:00 - 5:00p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A gathering will be held at Grace Chapel Ministries, 29245 Chaptico Rd., Mechanicsville, MD (intersection of Rt. 5 and Hwy. 238), on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 10:00a.m. until time of service at 11:00a.m. Pastor Carl H. Snyder will officiate. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3165 Mattawoman-Beantown Rd., Waldorf, MD 20604.

Pallbearers will be Joey Coon, Nick DiMichele, Sean Quade, Matt Finkbiner, Donny Rovito and Jimmy Green.

Memorial donations may be made to the Church, Grace Chapel Ministries, 29245 Chaptico Rd., Mechanicsville, MD 20659.
