Briscoe, Octavia Fenneilla Harvey (Age 69) of Waldorf, Maryland. Octavia was born December 28, 1943 in Washington, D.C. to the late Paul and Erma Mae (Johnson) Harvey-Hill.

She married James E. Briscoe (Footsie) and from this union four loving children were born, Donna, James E. Jr., Ranita and Lionel.

Octavia was a devoted Redskins Fan and enjoyed attending the games. She traveled as far as Detroit, Chicago, Atlanta, Tennessee, Philadelphia and New York. She absolutely loved to be around family and sharing in family gatherings such as cookouts, etc. She also enjoyed traveling to visit family in Norfolk, Virginia.

In addition to her beloved parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Paul Harvey, Jr., niece, Chanita Taylor, nephew, Robert Briscoe, brothers-in-law, George Briscoe, George Proctor, Harry Todd and James Butler, sisters-in-law, Ruth Price and Annie Briscoe.

Peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Charles County Hospice House in Waldorf, Maryland, Octavia Fenneilla Harvey Briscoe transitioned to eternal life.

She leaves to cherish wonderful memories, her devoted husband, James, children, Donna M. Briscoe, James E. Briscoe, Jr., Ranita Carter and Lionel Briscoe; daughter-in-law, Evangeline (Vangie) Briscoe; son-in-law, George Carter; grandchildren, Darryl, Jayla, Genia, Jeron, James, Jamal, Anthony, Alonte', George, Sherry and Steven; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Xavier, Zinasha, Nova'j, Devon, Jordan and Alyssa; sisters, Sylvia Taylor, Dawn Hoff-Henderson and Connie Savoy; brothers, Randy Mathis and Kenny Hoff; sisters-in-law, Anges Todd, Mary Ford, Theresa Butler and Ann Briscoe; brothers-in-law, Randolph Taylor, Matthew Ford and Joseph Briscoe; She also leaves forty-six nieces and nephews to cherish her memory, all of which she loved so dearly and all of which meant the world to her.

Viewing, 8am until 10am, Monday, March 25, 2013 in the Chapel of THORNTON Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, Maryland. Mass of Christian Burial, 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph's Way, Pomfret, Maryland. Interment, Church Cemetery.
