Robert William "Bob" Kraft of Waldorf, MD died on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, MD. He was 66 years old.

Bob was born and lived his entire life in the Washington, DC area. His character was that of strength, integrity, gentleness, and work ethic. Bob knew no stranger, everyone knew and loved him – he was always helping others, even before himself. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served two tours in Vietnam. He then spent his 30-year career in Operations Security Management, last with Admiral Security in Bethesda, MD. He was a sports enthusiast – he loved the Washington Redskins, the Nationals, playing basketball, reading, cookouts, and family time (especially being with his grandkids).

Son of the late Henry Irwin Kraft and the late Lillian Regina Wheatley. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Darlene Kraft; three daughters, Lisa M. Butler and her husband Jeff of Austin, TX, Sherry A. Morris and her husband Tim of White Plains, MD, and Nikki P. Kraft and her significant other Mike Edwards; one brother, Paul E. Kraft of Washington, DC; one sister, Susan B. Toland and her husband Timothy of Upper Marlboro, MD; and nine grandchildren: Jeff, Chelsea "Sunshine", Alanna "Bird", Joshua, Kelsea, Katlyn, Jenna, Ashley, and Vinnie.

Visitation on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 11AM until time of Memorial Service at 1PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will be private.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
