Click to see full size photoJosephine Richards Goldsmith, 89, of Brandywine, MD, passed away at her residence on June 15, 2012. She was born in Brandywine, MD on April 26, 1923. Josephine was the daughter of Frank W. Richards and Florence (Sherbert) Richards.

She worked at the U.S. Post Office in Aquasco, MD as a Postal Clerk, where she retired. Josephine enjoyed cooking and helping people.

Aside from her parents, Josephine is predeceased by her beloved husband, Mason Granville Goldsmith.

Josephine is survived by her children, Betty Jean Goldsmith, Joseph R. Goldsmith and his wife Irene, Charles R. Goldsmith, Carolyn Marie Goldsmith; her grandchildren, James Goldsmith and Michael Goldsmith; and her great-grandchild, Ella Goldsmith.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 2-4PM and from 6-8PM at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. There will be a Funeral Service on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, 11AM, here at Brinsfield-Echols. Rev. James Chance will officiate. Interment will immediately follow to Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.

Pallbearers will be James Goldsmith, Michael Goldsmith, Larry Richards, Donald Deuvall, Karl Flerlage and Art Jones.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Baden Volunteer Fire Department, 16608 Brandywine Road, Brandywine, MD 20613.
