(St. Mary’s City, MD) March 30, 2007 – Mixed-media artist Jason Watson will give a talk on Monday, April 2, at 4:30 p.m. in the Boyden Gallery of Montgomery Hall of St. Mary’s College of Maryland (SMCM). Watson will also be a juror for the SMCM Spring All-Student Art Show. The exhibition and lecture are sponsored by the Boyden Gallery and the SMCM department of art and art history. The student art show will be open until April 18.

Watson is a visual artist who lives in Lambertville, New Jersey and works in the greater New York and Philadelphia area. His work includes drawings, prints, and installations. Watson received his MFA from the State University of New York at Purchase in 2002. He has worked as a graphic and exhibitions designer for the Wildlife Conservation Society and has taught at Pace University, both in New York City. Last fall he was an artist-in-residence at SMCM and taught the Draw-A-Thon.
