The Humane Society of Calvert County, is an all volunteer animal welfare organization sponsored by the United Way of Calvert County. We are a No-Kill shelter, established in 1976.

Our shelter is located at 2210 Dalrymple Road in Sunderland (Fishing Creek Kennel). At any given time we have around 65 canines and 30 cats in our system. We rely heavily on foster homes for our adoptable animals, and are always seeking appropriate foster homes for these homeless animals. HSCC will pay all costs for vet care, food and any other neccessities as long as you provide a safe place for the animal until its new forever home arrives.

We are also always in need of volunteers for several other positions including but not limited to: Dog Walking, Fundraising, Adoption Events, Office work, Kennel Maintanence, and many other jobs.

HSCC is a wonderful group of volunteers that are dedicated to providing quality care to our rescued animals until we find their forever home.
