The Brandywine Volunteer Fire Department Station 40 located at 14201 Brandywine Road, Brandywine, Maryland 20613 is currently looking for new members to serve on our rolls as Volunteer Firefighters, Emergency Medical Technicians and Administrative Members. All training and equipment is free of charge, must be 16 years old or older to join and pass an extensive background check.
On fire and emergency services calls, our firefighters are prepared with the latest personal protective equipment, communications and thermal imaging equipment. All of this combined with the proper training allows our volunteer firefighters and EMT's to safely and effectively quell a emergency situation.
You do not have to live in the Brandywine area to become a member with the Brandywine Volunteer Fire Department. Brandywine volunteer firefighters and EMT's respond to hundreds of emergency situations every year. Not only will you contain fire and emergency medical calls, but you will also mitigate automobile accidents and other emergencies. If you are someone who is interested in serving your community, and is interested in making new friends and lifelong memories, then this may be for you.
Our administrative members, are personnel who do not wish to ride fire trucks or ambulances, but will help on the administrative side of the department. Those members help with fundraisers, department events, hall rentals and more. Citizens wishing to become a administrative member will still have to go through the background check, but do not have to go through the physical and stress test.
For more information please call the Membership Recruitment hotline number at 301-782-7258 and leave a message for the Membership Committee, or visit our website at www.brandywinevfd.net.
