Brief Description
All proceeds support the WID - Chesapeake Bay Chapter Scholarship Fund to encourage careers in national security/defense industry.

Day-Of Registration
Limited day-of registration will be available beginning at 0630. The fee to register on race day is $30 for the 5K and $35 for the 10K. Checks or cash will be accepted the day of the race.

Base Access
You do not need base access to register for this race if you pre-register by 14 May. You will need base access if you plan to register the day-of.

Directions to the Golf Course
Enter NAS Patuxent River from Gate 2 located on RT 235. Once you are on the base, continue straight through the traffic lights. You will proceed on the same road across the flight line. With the water on your left, the golf course will be on your right.

Age Groups
For both the 5K and 10K, medals will be awarded to the overall male and female finisher, and the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age categories: 12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and over.

Baby Strollers
Baby strollers/joggers are allowed in the both races.

Rain
Both events will be held “Rain or Shine”.

Arrival Time
We encourage everyone to arrive early. Day-of registration begins at 0630. Please arrive no later than 7:45 to pick up your race packet.

Parking
Ample free parking is available at the start/finish for both events.

On Saturday August 18th in celebration of Child Support Awareness month, the Child Support Enforcement division of St. Mary's County Department of Social Services will be sponsoring A 5K FUN RUN/WALK to benefit the local food pantry.

The walk/run route will encircle the Governmental Center grounds. There will be activities for children (no charge), door prizes, & information available on the many... services offered from our affiliate departments: Adult Services, Child Protective Services, Foster Care, & Family Services.

Registration for the walk/run will begin at 7:30 am & the race start time will be 8:30
The registration fee will be $20.00 (cash or check)

Enjoy a great evening of baseball (watch the Blue Crabs Team take on the Sugarland Skeeters!) with family and friends while supporting vital services for people with disabilities in Maryland. The Blue Crabs Baseball Organization will give Bay Community Support Services (BAY-CSS) a commission on the sale of tickets to the evening game (tickets are $13/ea with BAY-CSS receiving $6.50 for each ticket sold with the BAY-CSS fundraising code BAYCSS12) held on Staurday, August 18th at 6:35pm.
