Where to Get the Results of the Election

Once the final results are in, we will provide the final numbers here on somd.com.  Please refer to the respective candidate lists for the state or respective county:

From the St. Mary's County Board of Elections

The St. Mary's County Department of Information Technology and the St. Mary's County Board of Elections will be posting Primary Election Results as they are received from the polling precincts on September 12, 2006. Citizens can view the results in Real-Time by accessing the County Website and clicking "2006 Election Results". This webpage will be updated throughout the evening until all the precincts have reported their election results to the Board of Elections Office.

This year, citizens also will have the option of receiving email notices as Elections Results are posted to the website. To receive automatic email notices on election night, sign-up by accessing the County Website and clicking "Sign up to receive E-Mail Updates of Election Night Results". When signing up to receive the e-mails, users can specify which race(s) they wish to receive notification. As the results are received at the Board of Elections Office, they will be automatically e-mailed to users who have registered for this service.

The Board of County Commissioners will also host live election coverage on Government Channel 95, beginning at 8:00 p.m., and anticipates telephone interviews from the candidates between the 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. hour.
