St. Clement's Island Museum Grounds
This fun two-day event will feature the just completed Blackistone Lighthouse on St. Clements Island. Enjoy free boat rides to the island and lighthouse tours. With live entertainment, exhibits and great food, this annual event is fun for the whole family so DON'T MISS IT!. Congratulations to our winners, who each won two tickets to the Blessing of the Fleet: Carole Johnson of Great Mills; Michelle Baker of Avenue; Christina Deneale of Great Mills; and Tim Kinder of California.

As part of its Friday Lecture Series during CSM's 50th anniversary year, the College of Southern Maryland and the Leonardtown 300th Committee in conjunction with the St. Mary's County Public Libraries present Frankie Tippett in lecture. Using old photos, some of which date to the 1880s, and current photos, he will provide a pictorial guide of Leonardtown through the years. Free.

Early Voting for Maryland Primary

For the primary election, early voting centers will be open starting Friday September 3, 2010 through Thursday, September 9, 2010, except for Sunday, September 5th when early voting centers are closed. Early voting centers will be open from 10 am until 8 pm each day of early voting. Anyone in line at 8 pm will be allowed to vote. Click here for early voting locations for your county. |
