Crisis Intervention Hotlines... The holiday season can be especially stressful for single people, people who live alone, and families who are struggling under financial and substance abuse burdens. Help is out there and it often just a phone call away. Most of these numbers can help you with the following types of problems:
If your life is in danger or you need immediate medical attention, please call 911. 911 can dispatch police and emergency medical services to your location. The following are Crisis Hotlines in the tri-county Southern Maryland area. If you can not get through to the one in your county, please try one of the other counties or the national numbers provided at the bottom. Even if they are not the right people to talk to ultimately, they can get you in touch with the right people.
