Happy Halloween!

Hello, little goblins! Halloween is fast approaching and we at So. Md. Online want to make sure you're ready for it.

When is Halloween and When Can We Trick-or-Treat?

Halloween is always celebrated on October 31st. Of course, the day of the week will vary from year to year.

Citizens typically trick-or-treat on the 31st, unless severe weather makes it impossible. Local governments do not regulate the holiday. Police and etiquette suggest that you should not knock on people's doors after 8 p.m. Home Owners Associations often govern when people can trick-or-treat in their respective communities. Chesapeake Ranch Estates in Calvert Co. is one community we know of that sets the hours for their residents.
