St. Mary's Police Report


Sheriff's Office Deputies Kevin D. Somerville and Shawn Moses responded to the Burch Mart in Hollywood for the reported theft. Their investigation revealed that a juvenile had, on several occasions, stolen money from the business valued at less than $500.00. A 17 year old juvenile was arrested and charged. As the juvenile was released to a parent/guardian he became uncooperative and had to be detained again. Department of Juvenile Services responded and the juvenile was detained in the Chelthanham Youth Center to await a hearing in the Juvenile Court.

Dfc. John W. Cusic and Deputy William J. Rishel responded to a 911 hang up call with a loud disturbance. Upon arrival they found that Suspect Sonja Hebb (22 years old of Hollywood) and Victim Jamiya Gladden had been involved in a domestic dispute. As the verbal dispute had escalated Suspect Hebb struck the Victim in the back with a bottle of cooking wine before retrieving a knife and made an attempt to stab the Victim, cutting the Victim's hand. Suspect Hebb was arrested and charged with both First and Second Degree Assault.

Deputy Milton Pesante located Suspect Dale Herbert Peterson (49 years old of Mechanicsville) and served him with a Criminal Summons for Indecent Exposure. Calvert County Sheriff's Office Deputy First Class T.S. Phelps applied for charges on the Suspect related to an indecent exposure that occurred on March 18th 2005. The incident took place on Rt. 4 and Parkers Creek Road. A school bus driver (no children aboard) observed the Suspect operating a vehicle next to her with his pants unbuttoned and fondling himself. The Suspect was provided with a Hearing date to respond to Calvert County District Court to answer for the charges.

Deputy Angela Muller responded to the Leonardtown CVS for the reported Prescription Fraud. Upon arrival Deputy Muller located Jennifer Michelle Simpson and she was identified as the Suspect. The Suspect was interviewed and evidence located inside the vehicle revealed that the Suspect had committed the crime under a false name not only at the Leonardtown CVS, but other pharmacies. Suspect Simpson (30 years old from Colonial Beach Va.) was arrested and is currently incarcerated in the St. Mary's County Detention Center.

Sheriff's Office Deputy Richard W. Russell located Suspect Brian Douglas Quinn and served him with a Criminal Summons that charged the Suspect with several counts to include Stalking and Peeping Tom. He was served and is awaiting a Preliminary Hearing Date. All of the charges stem from a domestic situation between the Suspect and the undisclosed Victim.
