Lack of Civility in Waldorf


ASSAULT: On Aug. 21 at 3 a.m., an 18-year-old Waldorf man was walking on University Drive near Blackpool Circle in Waldorf when the suspect, a black male wearing a red shirt and blue shorts, approached him. The victim and the suspect began to argue and a physical fight ensued. After the fight ended, the victim went home and noticed a stab wound on his leg. The victim was treated at Civista Medical Center for minor injuries. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-2222. Officer D. Sylvestre is investigating.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On Aug. 13 about 1:45 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Legends at 1290 Smallwood Drive East in Waldorf to disperse a large crowd. Upon arrival, Officer J. Timko observed Tamika Michelle Wheeler, 29, of Waldorf, yelling at another woman. Officer Timko ordered Wheeler to leave the scene, at which time she began to walk away. Officer Timko was helping to disperse the rest of the crowd when he heard yelling and observed a large group of people gathered in the parking lot. He observed Wheeler yelling at the same woman she had yelled at before. Someone was holding Wheeler back from fighting the other woman. Officer Timko arrested Wheeler for disorderly conduct. The rest of the crowd then dispersed. Wheeler is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
