Police Seek Information About Shooting of Days Inn Employee


On Sept. 23 at 2:47 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Days Inn at 11370 Days Court in Waldorf for the homicide. Investigation revealed someone entered the motel and shot and killed an employee, Jerry Alan Wills III, in the front desk area. Detectives have not determined a motive. A witness saw someone leaving the scene who is described as a black male wearing a white skull cap and a dark shirt. He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall, has a medium complexion and an average build and is in his late teens. The victim is 19-years-old and is originally from Chambersburg, Pa., but had been living in Waldorf since January. His body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact Det. K.
