Man Arrested for Theft of Materials from Contrstuction Site


On September 28th, 2005, Detectives from the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) responded to the Dunleigh Sub Division located in Lexington Park, St. Mary's County, Maryland for a reported theft. It was determined that new home construction materials were being stolen from job sites within the subdivision from the period of June 1st 2005 thru August 23rd 2005. The materials were valued at over $500.

A portion of these stolen materials was discovered by a representative of Quality Built Homes Inc. inside the garage of Bryan Wayne Duval's residence. Quality Built Homes in turn contacted the authorities. Detectives from BCI obtained a search and seizure warrant which was executed at Duval's residence. The items in the garage were confirmed to be stolen property. Detectives found additional stolen materials belonging to Quality Built Homes hidden in the attic of the residence.

Bryan Duval was taken into custody and charged with one (1) count of Theft Scheme Over $500 and is currently incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he is awaiting his appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
