Restaurant Deliveryman Robbed by 3 Males in Waldorf

On Nov. 21 at 9 p.m., Officer J. Burroughs was on patrol when an employee of Eastern's Carryout at 3079 Festival Way in Waldorf stopped him to report a robbery. Investigation revealed the employee, a 31-year-old man, went to an apartment in the 12100 block of Ell Lane in Waldorf to deliver food. When he arrived at the apartment complex, he called the phone number provided during the order for further directions. The person who answered the call told the victim to walk to the rear of the apartment building. The victim complied and found two men waiting for him behind the building blocking his path. The victim attempted to flee but a third man stopped him and pushed him to the ground. The three suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money and the victim's cell phone and fled the scene. The victim then returned to his vehicle and fled. He was not injured.

The three suspects are described only as black males. Other officers responded to the area of the apartments but could not locate the suspects. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777.
