On December 23, 2005 Dfc. James Molitor responded to K-Mart in California for a reported shoplifting. K-Mart Loss Prevention Officer Eric Adkin had detained a suspect with unpaid items hidden in his clothing. Suspect Billie Joe Murphy, age 28 of Mechanicsville, MD was charged by Dfc. Molitor with theft under $100.00 for taking merchandise from the store without paying for the property. Billy Joe Murphy was released pending a preliminary inquiry in District Court.
