St. Mary's Commissioner will Hold Town Meetings to Discuss Proposed 2007 Budget


Thomas F. McKay, President, St. Mary's County Board of County Commissioners, will hold several town meetings to present his Proposed Fiscal Year 2007 Budget to the citizens of St. Mary's County. Commissioner McKay announced details of his proposed budget to the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, which includes full funding for education, increases for public safety, parks and recreation, new schools, new highways, and a 15% property tax credit for all County property tax payers. The fiscal 2007 budget year begins on July 1, 2006.

Please join Commissioner McKay at a town meeting for review and discussion of the budget proposal with the community. The meetings are scheduled as follows:
