MSP Reports for St. Mary's


On Friday, April 21, 2006 at 12:00 pm, Tfc R. Rezza responded to St. John’s Road and Route 245, Hollywood, for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, the complainant/victim was contacted. The victim advised that he inadvertently pulled onto St. John’s Road into the path of a black Nissan pickup truck. The victim stated he pulled onto the shoulder and motioned to the driver that he was sorry for the error. The driver of the pickup, John Keith Stewart, 31, of Lexington Park, pulled over and approached the victim’s vehicle. When the victim would not exit his vehicle, Mr. Stewart punched the vehicle, causing damage. Mr. Stewart was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Malicious Destruction of Property. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review. (0682004354)

On Sunday, April 23, 2006 at 2:44 am, TFC J. Linger stopped a vehicle for speeding, 36 mph in a 30 mph zone, on Route 242 and Route 5 in Morganza. Upon contact with the driver, James Michael Nelson, 30, of Chaptico, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected. After attempting the field sobriety tests, Mr. Nelson was arrested for DUI. A search of the vehicle, incident to arrest, was conducted. A cellophane bag, containing marijuana, was located under the driver seat. Mr. Nelson was charged with DUI, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review. (0682004422)

On Sunday, April 23, 2006 at 1130 pm, TFC J. Linger stopped a Hyundai for expired registration. A check through MVA indicated the tags had expired in 1999 and belonged on an Acura. A check of the vehicle serial number showed the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured. The driver, Francis Aubrey Dickerson Jr., 42, of Mechanicsville, was unable to provide proof of ownership and therefore, the vehicle was to be towed. When advised that the vehicle was to be towed and the vehicle inventoried, Mr. Dickerson retrieved a smoking device, with burnt CDS residue, and handed to TFC Linger. Mr. Dickerson was placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle produced two more smoking devices containing burnt CDS residue. Mr. Dickerson was charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and numerous traffic citations. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review. (0682004450)

On Monday, April 24, 2006 at 3:04 am, Tpr. T. Long responded to Willows Road, Lexington Park, for a reported disturbance. Investigation revealed that the victim had been slapped numerous times by the suspect, Katie Lynn Barickman, 25, of Lexington Park. The police were contacted after Ms. Barickman began choking the victim. Ms. Barickman was arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault. She was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review. (0682004456)

On Monday, April 24, 2006 at 3:00 pm, TFC A. Malaspina arrested Kristopher William Cusick, 24, of Leonardtown, on an Indictment for Attempted Murder, Robbery, and Assault. Mr. Cusick was held at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center on no bond. (18-K-06-000183)

On Monday, April 24, 2006 at 3:45 pm, TFC A. Malaspina arrested Auntonio Rondale Banks, 19, of Leonardtown, on an Indictment for Robbery and 1st Degree Assault. (18-K-06-000187)

On Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 5:00 pm, Tpr. G. White served Kenneth Joseph Aicher Jr., 42, of Hollywood, with a summons to appear in court to answer to a charge of Assault. This charge resulted from an altercation on March 31, 2006. (0682003564, 2Q00033161)

On Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 5:23 pm, TFC L. Nims served Mona Shawtae Bannister, 19, of Lexington Park, with a summons to appear in court to answer to a charge of Assault. This charge resulted from an altercation on March 30, 2006. (0682003506, 5Q00033199)
