Effective July 1, 2006, the fee for larger loads or RESIDENTIAL EXCESSIVE LOAD FEE at the St. Andrews Landfill in St. Mary's County will be increased to $65.00 per ton. According to the County Commissioners, the increase is necessary to pay for the increase in charges to $65 per ton imposed by Calvert County to continue the transportation of solid waste from the St. Andrews Landfill.
The fee for a pick-up truck load or RESIDENTIAL FLAT FEE will remain at $10.00. County Citizens will continue to enjoy solid waste services free of charge at all six (6) Convenience Centers.
