MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


On Friday, August 11, 2006 at 7:50 am, Tpr. E. Evans responded to Old Village Road, Mechanicsville, for a reported industrial accident. Investigation revealed that Albert Moncivais, 18, of Lexington Park, was working on the roof of a house. The trusses fell, in a domino like fashion, knocking Mr. Moncivais off the roof. Mr. Moncivais fell onto the floor striking his head and jaw. Mr. Moncivais was flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma where he is listed in critical condition. The Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Office responded and are conducting an investigation. (0682008725)

On Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 3:17 am, TFC T. Quade stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 235 at Clarks Landing Road, Hollywood. The driver, Arthur Berry Allan, 52, of Great Mills, was arrested for DUI. During a search incident to arrest a smoking device, containing cocaine, was located between the passenger seat and center console. Two crack cocaine “rocks” were found under the passenger side floor mat. The passenger, Francis Matthew Scriber, 44, no fixed address, was arrested. Mr. Allan was charged with DUI. Mr. Scriber was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Both were taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bond review. (0682008763)

On Sunday, August 13, 2006 at 4:07 pm, TFC J. Fleetwood responded to Route 235 and Wildwood Blvd for a reported motorcycle accident. Investigation revealed that Mark Steven Posey, 43, of Waldorf, was traveling northbound on Route 235 approaching Wildwood Blvd, California, on a Suzuki motorcycle. Mr. Posey failed to observe stopped traffic at the intersection. Mr. Posey attempted to avoid a collision and swerved into the left turn lane. He lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected. Mr. Posey came to rest under a vehicle stopped in the left turn lane. The motorcycle came to rest in the intersection after striking three other vehicles. Mr. Posey was flown to Prince George’s Shock Trauma. His condition is unknown at this time. (0682008818)

On Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 5:00 pm, TFC M. Moore arrested James Alphonso Fenwick, 63, of Mechanicsville, on an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. He was taken to the detention center and held without bond. (18K05-626)

On Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 7:20 pm, Tpr. D. Brill arrested Brian Patrick Abell, 34, of Leonardtown, on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on charges of theft, forgery and uttering false documents. He was taken to the detention center and held without bond. (5Q00033108)

On Friday, August 11, 2006 at 11:25 pm, TFC T. Quade arrested Devone Michael Thompson, 36, of Loveville, on an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. He was taken to the detention center and held without bond. (CS28000)

On Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 1:54 am, TFC T. Quade arrested Christopher Dwain Harrod, 21, of Lexington Park, on outstanding warrants for violation of probation and a True Bill Indictment, Possession of CDS. He was taken to the detention center and held without bond. (1Q00031137)
