LA PLATA, Md. - According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Department, on Dec. 26 at 9:32 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 6700 block of Indian Head Highway in Bryans Road for a report of a home invasion.

The officer's investigation revealed that two males knocked on the victim’s door. As he opened the door, the men forced their way inside the residence. One suspect brandished a weapon and demanded valuables. After taking the victim's cash, the suspects fled the scene on foot.

Officers and a K9 team searched the area but were unable to locate the men.

The victim, a 47-year-old Bryans Road man, sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment.

Both suspects are described as black males in their early 20s. The first man is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, has a medium build and has discoloration on his lower left eye. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket and pants. The second man is 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 160 to 170 pounds and has discolored skin under his left eye.
