Jan. 9, 2008 -- The Maryland Agricultural Education Foundation, Inc. (MAEF) announced today that William T. "Bill" Henley, IV has joined their Board of Directors.

Henley is a Senior Loan Officer with Colonial Farm Credit, ACA in the Hughesville, Maryland office. He spent three years in the Tappahannock, Virginia office prior to transferring to Hughesville in April 2005.

"Bill graciously volunteered his time and expertise in support of MAEF," said George Mayo, MAEF's executive director, "and will help lead MAEF's future growth in outreach and influence in Southern Maryland and throughout the State."

Henley is a 2002 graduate of James Madison University with majors in Management and Economics. He is a former Colonial Agriculture Education Foundation scholarship recipient; and now organizes and sits on the annual selection committee for the foundation scholarships in Southern Maryland.

He was raised on a grain, timber, and beef cattle farm in King and Queen County Virginia and now resides in California, Maryland.

MAEF is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, non-governmental organization established in 1989 as recommended by a Governor's Task Force. Their mission is to promote the understanding and appreciation of the importance of agriculture in our daily lives.
