Posted on SUSPENDED LICENSE, ILLEGAL DRUGS: On May 9, 2008, at approximately 8:55 p.m., Trooper W. Scarlett was on routine patrol eastbound Route 228 in the area of Sun Valley Road, when he stopped Severn Pricilla Jackson, 39 years of Waldorf, for a traffic violation. An MVA check revealed her license suspended and revoked through Maryland. Jackson was arrested for driving on a suspended license. A search of Jackson at the Charles County Detention Center revealed a plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana. Jackson was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. RETAIL THEFT: On May 11, 2008, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Trooper W. Scarlett responded to Best Buy for a reported theft. Scarlett made contact with off-duty MSP TFC S. Sharpe, who said he observed William Antonio Gaines 3rd, 21 years, of Accokeek, removing CD’s from their cases and placing them in his pockets. When Gaines attempted to exit the store without paying, he was stopped and placed under arrest. Gaines was charged with theft less than $500. |
