Posted on Calvert County residents who live on any County-maintained roadway may place un-bagged debris at the road edge in front of their private property, in the County right-of-way only, between May 13 and 30, 2008, for free removal. County trucks will continuously canvas neighborhoods to remove this vegetative debris. In addition, the Appeal and Barstow Landfills will accept residential tree/green storm-related debris resulting from the May 11th and 12th storm, Monday through Saturday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., through Saturday, May 31, 2008, free of charge. Tree/green storm-related debris is limited to un-bagged leaves, trees, limbs, branches, bushes, shrubs, etc. All other storm debris including construction and demolition debris (like carpeting, sheetrock, wood, roofing or insulation) and wind-blown garbage will be accepted at the Appeal Landfill only and a fee will apply. After May 31st, tree/green debris must be taken to Appeal Landfill for a fee.
