LA PLATA, Md. (June 26, 2008) -- The Charles County Sheriff’s Office announced today that they have recovered 53 of the 145 bronze vases stolen from Trinity Memorial Gardens in September 2007. However, no arrests have been made.

The recovered vases were found June 17 at 3 p.m. abandoned on property in the 10400 block of Livingston Road in Fort Washington. The Sheriff’s Office responded there after the property owner discovered the vases and reported them to police.

The thefts occurred on Sept. 14, Sept. 21 and Sept. 24. The suspect(s) entered Trinity Memorial Gardens, located at 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Road in Waldorf, and stole the vases, which had been attached to headstones.

Charles County Crime Solvers continues to offer a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the investigation. Call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. All callers remain anonymous.
