MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Dec. 11, 2008) - The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Dec. 1, 2008, at 7:14 am, Trooper R. Cavill responded to a residence on Cove View Dr. in St. Leonard for a reported malicious destruction of property. Upon arrival, the complainant informed Tpr. Cavill that the mail box at the residence had been damaged. Thirteen other mailboxes in the same neighborhood showed that damages had been made by using hard objects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Maryland State Police at (410) 535-1400.

BURGLARY: On Dec. 2, 2008 at 6:30 pm, Trooper M. Parker responded to a residence in the 12400 block of Red Rock Lane. A neighbor has noticed lights on in a house and a vehicle in the driveway of a residence where the residents were not at home. Approximately an hour later, Trooper Parker made contact with the residents. The resident checked out the residence and found no items missing, but verified that their residence had been occupied by an unknown subject. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Dec. 3, 2008 at 11:20 am, in the area of Route 4 and Duke St., Trooper First Class C. Dawson stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The suspect was identified as Melissa Garner Archebelle, age 40, of St. Leonard. A search of Archebelle and her vehicle revealed marijuana. Suspect was transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing and later was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing and for a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT: On Dec. 4, 2008 at 12:00 pm, Trooper First Class B. Stein responded to the Huntingtown High School for a reported theft. Investigation revealed a 16-year-old male student from Huntingtown stole an I-Pod from another student. The student was placed under arrest and transported to the Prince Frederick Barrack for processing.

FRAUD: On Dec. 4, 2008 at 12:00 pm, Trooper First Class C. Dawson responded to Ken-Mar Liquor for a report of fraud. Investigation reveals that suspects attempted to cash checks from a closed bank account. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On Dec. 5, 2008 at 10:13 pm, in the area of Route 4 and Lower Marlboro Road, Trooper First Class C. Dawson stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. While conducting the search, TFC Dawson detected the odor of burnt marijuana. The subject, Kevin Donte Artis, 22, of Capitol Heights, was taken into custody and transported for processing to the Prince Frederick Barrack.
