MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (July 27, 2009) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

CDS ARREST/POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE: On Wednesday, July 22 at 8:04 pm, a 17-year-old juvenile male was arrested by Cpl. J. L. Linger for Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. The juvenile was operating a black Ford Crown Victoria on Hollywood Road when he was stopped in the area of Doctor's Crossing Road in Leonardtown for following another vehicle too close. Cpl. Linger made contact with the 17-year-old male operator and a stale odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. The juvenile was found to be in possession of 17 vials of PCP, 6 bags of Marijuana and two digital scales. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack where he was processed and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute PCP and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Juvenile Service was contacted and the juvenile was ordered to be transported to the Cheltenham Youth Facility pending further action by Juvenile Services.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, July 23 at 10:00 am, John Raymond Williams, 45, of Lexington Park was arrested by Cpl. D. B. Peck on an outstanding Bench Warrant (T3-13844) for Failing to Appear in District Court in Leonardtown on March 3. Mr. Williams turned himself in at the Leonardtown Barrack. The original charges were Driving on a Suspended and Revoked License. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Friday, July 24 at 8:23 pm, Tpr. R. L. Jackson responded to the 26000 block of Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville for the reported Malicious Destruction of a Mailbox. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 70, of Mechanicsville who advised unknown suspect(s) bent the door on the mailbox and ripped it from the post. Neighborhood checks were conducted and the investigation is ongoing.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY OVER $500: On Saturday, July 25 at 8:28 am, TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded to the 27000 block of Burch Manor Circle in Mechanicsville for the reported Malicious Destruction of Property to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the male victim, 24, of Mechanicsville. He advised sometime during the night between 1:30 am - 8:28 am on Saturday, July 25th unknown suspect(s) damaged his 2005 red Ford Explorer Sport. The vehicle had a deep scratch along the left front quarter panel and along the driver's side door. The damage is estimated to be $1,000.00. Neighborhood checks were conducted and the investigation continues.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Sunday, July 26 at 12:57 am, a male juvenile, 15, of Hollywood was arrested by Tpr. W. S. Jefferson and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. Tpr. Jefferson responded to the reported Disturbance in the 23000 block of Three Notch Road in Hollywood. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant who advised she was pushed by her 15 year old son. After being pushed into the wall she struck her head and she fell to the floor. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack where he was processed and charged accordingly. He was later released into the custody of his father pending further action by Juvenile Services.
