SUSPECTS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF DRUGS, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND FIREARM: On November 17 at 6:30 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers assigned to the Community Policing Unit and the Emergency Services Team executed a search and seizure warrant in the 4600 block of Upton Court in Waldorf regarding a theft and fraud investigation. During the search, officers discovered marijuana, crack cocaine, a digital scale, numerous glassine baggies, a .25 caliber handgun, and evidence relating to the theft. Two other residents, Andre Eugene Cummings, 25, and Charlene Garnett Perry, 44, were charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Further investigation led officers to obtain another search warrant for an address in the 1000 block of Magnolia Drive. During that search, officers found evidence relating to the theft as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The resident, Joseph Jones, 19, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
