FIGHT, DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On January 4 at approximately 1:30 am, deputies along with troopers from the Leonardtown barrack responded to a large fight in progress at the Hollywood Firehouse. Upon arrival deputies and trooper were advised there were several individuals inside the building throwing bottles at one another. The deputies and troopers observed numerous individuals running from the building, some of whom were bleeding. The officers also observed several active fights in the parking lot. Because of the numerous individuals involved, additional assistance was requested. Deputies from the Charles County and Calvert County sheriff's offices responded along with troopers from the Prince Frederick Barrack to assist.
The following person's were arrested:
-- Wendell Lavon Blackiston, 21, of Leonardtown - charged with second degree assault, disorderly conduct and two counts of resisting arrest.
-- Ashley Nicole Young, 21, of Lexington Park - charged with disorderly conduct, failing to obey a lawful order of a police officer and resisting arrest.
-- Walter Jerome Ford, Jr., 23, of Lexington Park - charged with theft less then $100.00 and second degree assault.
ASSAULT SECOND DEGREE: On January 4 at approximately 2:20 am, deputies received a call of a large fight in the intersection of south bound Three Notch Road in the area of Mervil Dean Road in Hollywood. Investigation revealed several individuals stopped the victim as he was walking down the roadway and kicked and punched him. A vehicle was located just south of the assault. The vehicle was occupied by four individuals, two of which had blood on their hands. The two individuals were identified as Anthony Tyrone Adams, 24, of Great Mills, and Trenton Deonn Barnett, 19 of Lusby. Adams and Barnett were escorted back to the scene and were identified as the individuals who assaulted the victim. Adams and Barnett were arrested and charged with second degree assault.
THEFT, THEFT SCHEME: On January 1 Corporal B. Connelly responded to JC Penny department store for a report of a theft. Investigation revealed Sarah Elizabeth Berry, 20, of Lexington Park, an employee, had been stealing from the jewelry department between the dates of October 15, 2008 and December 30, 2008. Records indicated over $6,400 worth of jewelry items had been sold and returned for cash between those dates. However, no actual jewelry was returned. In addition, over $46,000 worth of jewelry was missing from the department. Ms. Berry had been the sale person on duty on the days of the thefts. A review of video surveillance showed Ms. Berry making fraudulent returns and sales. The video surveillance also showed Ms. Berry taking money from the drawer. Ms. Berry was arrested and charged with two counts of theft over $500.00 and two counts of theft scheme over $500.
GRAND JURY DRUG-RELATED INDICTMENT: Eric Lamont Figeroux, 34, of Lexington Park, was arrested on an open Grand Jury Indictment. Vice Narcotics Detectives obtained the arrest warrant for the charges of possession of cocaine and distribution of cocaine.
MISDEMEANOR DRUG ARRESTS: Jerome Antonio Herbert, 22, of Lexington Park, was charged with possession of cocaine. Jamal Rashad Chase, 26, of Mechanicsville, was charged with possession of cocaine. Patrick Shawn Daly, 18, of Lexington Park, was charged with possession of marijuana.
ROBBERY: On Dec. 31 at approximately 5:30 p.m., a suspect, described as a black male, approximately 25 years of age, 5'11", 180 lbs., wearing dark pants and a light gray hooded shirt, entered Besche Oil in Lexington Park. Once inside he confronted an employee of the business with a knife and demanded money. The employee gave the suspect items from her purse and he fled on foot.
