Charles County Sheriff's Reports


LA PLATA, Md. (Feb. 12, 2009) - The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

BURGLARY: On Feb. 11, at 2:59 p.m., officers responded to the 8300 block of Rock Court in Waldorf for the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed unknown suspects broke into a house and stole electronics and money. Officer D. Byrd is investigating.

BURGLARY: On Feb. 11, at 6:44 p.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of Community Drive in Waldorf for the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed the victim came home and heard someone in her basement. While officers responded, the suspect fled through the basement door. Officers determined the suspect gained entry into the house by breaking out a window. A K-9 officer conducted a track with negative results. Nothing was reported stolen. Officer J. Foster is investigating.

R.R.E/VANDALISM: On Feb 10, at 3:47 p.m., officers responded to a business at 4960 Port Tobacco Road in Nanjemoy for the report of vandalism. Investigation revealed sometime between Feb 9 and Feb.10, an unknown suspect spray painted a racial slur and graffiti on the building. Officer M. Bourgeois is investigating.
