High Speed Sends Two to Hospitals with Serious Injuries


MECHANICSVILLE, Md. (March 8, 2009)—Two people were flown to area hospitals with serious injuries after a single car accident Saturday afternoon just after 3 p.m.

The driver, Dewayne Anthony Thompson, 46, of Loveville, was flown to P.G Shock Trauma by MSP Trooper 7. The passenger, Angeliki Peterson Livanos, was flown to R. Adams Crowley Shock Trauma by Trooper 2.

Police determined that Thompson was driving a 2009 Ford Flex SE on Mechanicsville Rd. in the area of Yowaiski Mill Rd. at a high rate of speed. Thompson failed to negotiate a curve and the car left the roadway striking several trees.
